Capacity building for Artists & Entertainment Professionals
The Association of Cameroon Female and Male Musicians of Integrity (ACAFEMMI) will be organizing under the distinguished patronage of the Minister of Arts and Culture, a Capacity Building Workshop for Artists and Entertainment Industry Professionals in Cameroon under the Theme: “Understanding Music Publishing, Royalties & Digital Distribution”. The event scheduled for Friday the 26th of April 2019, will take place at the Cameroon Cultural Center in Yaounde from 9: AM to 2: PM.
This Association (ACAFEMMI) was created in other to unite Cameroonian musicians who mostly operate in the informal sector, to work in cooperation in other to nurture their careers, gain sustainability and contribute to revive the music industry in Cameroon where most artists don’t even know their rights and duties.
According to the organizers, this training will directly benefit 200 participants and will be concluded with a short exhibition concert, same day, as from 6:00 PM. These participants will receive adequate information, resources and support they need as concerns protection and generation of intellectual property revenue from their works as well as using new technologies to maximize their influence and have more returns.
