I had the honor to represent the Association of Cameroonian Bloggers (ABC) today September 18, 2021 at the Yaounde Conference Centre for the twin Convocation Ceremony 2021 organized by Experiential Higher Institute of Science and Technology (EXHIST). This ceremony was organized to honor the students from the 2019/2020 & 2020/2022 batches of this higher education Institute. I know some of you are surprised that two batches were graduating the same day but it's simply because of the coronavirus pandemic that did not permit the 2019/2020 batch to have a graduation ceremony last year.

The event that was presided by Madam BEDECK Mireille, representative of the Divisional Officer of Yaounde VI, started with a graduation sermon from Rev. Masock Emmanuel, Parish Pastor of the Presbyterian Church Nsimeyong. During his welcome speech, Mr. NGANG Nelson, Director and CEO of EXHIST thanked the State for creating an enabling environment for institutions like EXHIST to operate. He reminded the Graduands how they were learned during their training that there are no shortcuts or negotiations to doing what is required to complete their program and urged them to work on the field as if they were working for God and not men as recommended by the Bible in Col.3:23.

The event was also marked by Prize awards such as best HND certification results, Best nursing students, best in leadership, best in research, the most honest students, the most punctual students, best behaved students, student ambassadors, most committed parent, etc. to outstanding students, lecturers and even parents from the two batches.

It is important to precise that EXHIST was founded in 2019, during which she operated as a vocational institute by ministerial order under the Ministry of Vocational Training named Experiential Institute for Paramedical Studies (EXIPS). In 2020 the institution got an authorization to run the professional BTS and HND programs by ministerial order under the Ministry of Higher Education. She has for the past two academic years opened its doors for health sciences such as Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy technology and medical laboratory sciences.

However, it will be opening its doors this academic year to five other schools including Business and Finance, Computer Engineering and networking, Education, Home economics, Tourism and Hospitality management, Management. It will also be opening its doors to the first batch of students for the Master program in Public Health this year. These innovations are within the framework of its mission to reduce unemployment amongst youths by training entrepreneurial leaders through an experiential and holistic styled education.

The school is located in Bamenda (Old town below the linguistic Centre and at Ndamukong Street Nkwen) and Yaounde (former Garanti Biyem-Assi, with a second campus at Rond Point Express).
